Searching for ways to be a better coach

This was my first year coaching little league baseball. I played baseball when I was a kid and was a prettyu decent baseball player through high school. I figured working with a bunch of kids was going to be a piece of cake. Boy, was I wrong.

Teaching children the skills needed to be a good baseball player is not easy. I don't feel that I was as good of a coach as I could have been. Now that the season is over I think it is time to prepare for next year. I plan on taking the off-season to learn more effective coaching techniques and learn how to be a better little league coach. The kids deserve it.

The point of this blog is going to be searching the internet, library and video stores to hopefully acquire the skills needed to be a better baseball coach. I'll try to share what I learn.

Wish me luck in becoming a better coach and learning how to teach baseball skills.
